Today, many organizations are built upon one same model - a model based upon our way of education. A hundred years ago, the way of education as we still know it today, was first conceived to serve industrialism the world over. Its purpose hence was about the narrow literacy ability needed to meet the specific needs of industry at that time. Education then was therefore about mathematics, the sciences and languages. There may be some humanities, and a little of the arts, if any.

Today, our way of education remains essentially the same as it was more than a century ago, where the human mind is persistently and methodically schooled within a same narrow definition of problem solving and to work towards the supposed one right answer. Industry, after all, was about sterile efficiency.

Yet, society of today is vastly different. Where society was once treated as a mechanism that needed to be adjusted and manipulated, we now need to begin to treat contemporary society today as an organism, an organism that is now defined by its state of transience, and the pluralism of its human conditions within.

For how we begin to regard society will singularly define how we as an organization, or as an individual, begin to address it, how we make our choice about our strategy, and how we redesign our business, product and service.
